Anita Bates – Buying Group Director
As buying group Director, my focus is to bring the best rebates and deals to our member practices and to provide excellent in practice support through our account managers. I understand the challenges of modern practice as I have worked in the veterinary sector all of my working life, both in practice and in industry. I trained and worked as a veterinary nurse in a great mixed practice, in North Staffordshire, before being encouraged to diversify into sales.
It is highly possible that our paths have crossed, as I have worked in many territories, visited many practices & attended many shows – promoting pet food, vaccines, pharma, wholesaler services and health plan collection services. Through these roles and the relationships built, I have an understanding of the needs of practice, how practices work and how important the client and vet relationship is. At MiVetClub, we believe in supporting our practices and helping to strengthen them financially and viably – this couldn’t be done without this knowledge and experience!
I hold a certificate in Small Animal Nutrition and studied at Southampton part time to gain a certificate in Applied Animal Behaviour. I still live in North Staffs with my husband, two children; an adorable springer called Chip and our guineas Holly & Molly.
After spending time with our team, she is impressed with the simplicity of our discount structure and the range of services we can offer to support practices.
Rachel covers the North of England and is eager to visit current and prospective members alike to ensure you utilise the full range of benefits of membership.
Heather Duffy – Territory Account Manager
Heather has over 20 years of experience working in the veterinary sector, having previously worked as a Veterinary Nurse for 17 years in all manner of practices including Small animal, mixed, emergency critical care and laterally orthopaedic referral practice. Heather joined VETisco 4 years ago and has now integrated into the VetShare Account Manager team where she will continue to support VETisco and VetShare members across Scotland, Ireland, Cumbria and the north east, and has already been out meeting members to explore how she or VetShare can ensure you utilise the full benefits of membership.
Prior to time in the industry, Nikki started out as a Veterinary Nurse and has worked in a variety of practices. Nikki likes to keep her hand in where possible and ensures that she complete the CPD requirements to stay registered and up to date.
Her extensive knowledge and experience in both practice and industry allows for a great understanding of what a buying group should offer its members and has the experience to advise practices on their best business choices.
